I'm on a mission

Thank you for visiting! I'm exploring the ties between philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and Higher Ed.

At the center of this work is the concept of pre-exit philanthropy, sometimes known as a founders pledge, a vehicle for alumni giving that aligns the goals of universities and their alumni entrepreneurs. I practice this relatively new fundraising discipline as part of my work as Managing Director of Dartmouth College's west coast team.

I've helped build solutions at Dartmouth and UC Berkeley, and have presented at CASE and CARA regional conferences. I was an invited delegate to the 2017 Kauffman Foundation ESHIP Summit in Kansas City. You can read more about this work in the Mar/Apr 2017 issue of CASE Currents, in the Chronicle of Philanthropy

This blog is a labor of love. I hope you find it useful! Together we can accelerate the cycle of education, innovation, and philanthropy.
